Who is Molly Yeh’s Husband?

Molly Yeh is married to Nick Hagen who is a farmer because he enjoys farming and works at it full-time. Hagen is a musician who was studying trombone while Yeh was learning percussion.

According to Ag Week, the Hagen family farms sugar beets and wheat and rents land to other farmers who cultivate navy beans on the property. According to Hagen, while his career is completely different from playing trombone, they do share some similarities.

“One of the things I admire about farming is how diverse it is. I consider music and the road one might pursue to reach success in music. “It’s all about being regimented, disciplined, consistent, and laser-focused,” he explained.

He was born in the town of East Grand Forks, Minnesota, in the United States of America. Nick Hagen grew up with Anna Sather, his sister. Roxanne (mother) and Roger (father) are his parents. His mother is a cook, and his father is a farmer.

He claims that the main difference is having wiggle room.

“It’s a far cry from the music world.” However, the world of music was obsessed with perfection. It was such a regulated setting. “It was just you and your instrument; could you execute?” he said. “Once I started farming, I realized it’s all about creativity.” Every day, Mother Nature throws something fresh at you. How Did Molly Yeh Meet Her Husband Nick?

Yeh and Hagen met while studying music at Juilliard in New York City. Hagen was a senior studying trombone, while Yeh was a percussion major. They knew each other at Juilliard but didn’t start dating until after they graduated.

After finishing school in 2009, Hagen relocated back to his family farm in East Grand Forks, Minnesota, but returned to New York City in 2011, telling Ag Week he felt he had “unfinished business” in the Big Apple. He and Yeh reconnected and dated for a few years before returning to the Midwest. The pair married on the family property on December 27, 2014.

Does Molly Yeh Have Any Children?

Yeh and Hagen are the parents of two children. Bernadette Rosemary Yeh Hagen, their daughter, was born on March 30, 2019. Bernie’s, Yeh and Hagen’s first restaurant, was named after their eldest daughter.

“Bernie is named after Nick’s great-great-grandpa Bernt, who came from Norway and started the Hagen farm, and my great-grandpa Bernard, who came over from Hungary,” Yeh said in an interview with PEOPLE. “Rosemary was my mom’s mom.”

“I think she looks just like a tiny Bernie and also a tiny grandpa,” Yeh quipped on Instagram after announcing Ira’s birth. “Dorothy is named after Dorothea, the farm’s original matriarch (Nick’s great great-great-grandmother), and Ira is because our friend Jamie suggested it and we liked it!” Bernie is doing an excellent job as the big sister, introducing Ira to all of the greatest things, such as tickles, magic wands, tutus, and Frozen songs. We’re overjoyed to have a family of four!”

On February 20, 2022, the couple had their second daughter, Ira Dorothy Yeh Hagen.
