In the midst of his ongoing court battle with his ex-wife Amber Heard, Johnny Depp performed with guitarist Jeff Beck at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Monday night to a standing ovation for the second night in a row.

Those who saw him perform with Beck at Sheffield City Hall on Sunday had hoped he would return to the Royal Albert Hall in west London for a solo performance.

On Monday, Johnny Depp returned to the stage in London to play.

Crowd members clapped and gave him a standing ovation as he waved to them and blew a kiss.

It comes at a time when jurors are expected to resume their deliberations on Friday, after failing to make a decision on Friday in the six-week trial that has been extensively observed.

Before adjourning for the Memorial Weekend, the seven-person jury deliberated for about two hours.

Seven songs were performed in London’s Royal Albert Hall, including Jimi Hendrix’s Little Wing and John Lennon’s Isolation, with the actor joining Jeff Beck in the band.

‘I was very astonished,’ said 38-year-old Southend-on-Sea resident Angela Flannery of Depp’s arrival on stage. His work has always been a huge inspiration to me.

‘My other half took me to this gig to watch Jeff Beck, but I had no idea that Johnny would be playing,’ he says.

A particular mention must go to the drummer girl, who was simply outstanding, and Johnny Depp destroyed it.

Because of the time we spent together, ‘I can say with certainty that I will die happy.’

As he waits for a decision in his multimillion-dollar defamation lawsuit with Heard, Depp’s arrival in the UK has startled many.

Some fans objected to Depp performing at the concert.

‘Too much Johnny Depp, we didn’t come here to see him,’ Austin Delord remarked. He was a bit of a publicity gimmick; he didn’t contribute much to the party, but he took so much away from Beck.’

‘It was cool, unexpected,’ said Francesca Cox, 23. ‘I preferred the previous situation.’

Others were delighted to see the celebrity, exclaiming, ‘I love you, Johnny!’ as he entered the stage.

‘We first met when he knocked on my dressing room door five years ago,’ Beck remarked moments before his appearance.
