From March 2017 to November 2022, a Japanese manga series written and drawn by Ken Wakui ran in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine. As of January 2023, the chapters were put together in 31 tankbon books.
The anime TV adaptation was made by Liden Films, and it ran from April to September 2021. In January 2023, the second season of the anime show began. The book will be turned into a live-action movie in July 2021, and a sequel will come out in 2023.
This series is about a 26-year-old man named Takemichi Hanagaki who is having a hard time. He doesn’t act like a grown-up and doesn’t have a job. No one knows him, and his room, like the rest of his life, is a mess.
Things changed after that, and he turned into the sad, hopeless person he is now. One day, he finds out that his girlfriend from middle school was killed by the well-known Tokyo Manji Gang. Soon after that, Takemichi dies and, for some reason, comes back to the same day 12 years earlier.
In this reality, he still has his friends and love, and Hinata’s younger brother turns out to be the key that lets him go back and forth in time. With this power, he plans to work with Hinata to save his girlfriend.
In episode 10, Takemichi makes up with Hinata when he finds out that Mikey and Draken came to the church because he broke up with her.
Mikey tells Takemichi about Shinichiro and talks about how much he looks like Takemichi. Mitsuya and Draken talk about how they met for the first time.
