Will There Be an Inside Job Season 2?
During Geeked Week in June, Netflix announced that ‘Inside Job’ will receive a second season. Shion Takeuchi, the show’s creator, has revealed that it will not be renewed.
Inside Job season one was split into two parts, with the first premiering in October 2021 and the second in November 2022.
Netflix announced the second season early on but has since backtracked. Shion Takeuchi apologized for the show’s future on January 9, using a broken heart emoji.
The creator of Gravity Falls expressed his heartbreak at Netflix canceling Inside Job season 2 because the characters had become real people to him over time.
Netflix, on the other hand, has yet to issue an official statement announcing the show’s cancelation. The show had 18 episodes in all, 10 in the first half and eight in the second.
Takeuchi thanked everyone for tuning in and expressed sadness over the loss of characters like Reagan and Brett, who deserved a happy conclusion.
“I’m heartbroken to confirm that Netflix has decided to cancel season 2 of Inside Job,” Shion said in a statement. “These characters have become real people to me over the years, and I’m heartbroken that I won’t be able to see them grow up.” Reagan and Brett deserved to have their happily ever after. And I would have wanted to be able to tell you everything about what was in store.”
