Harley Quinn fans around the world are eagerly awaiting news about the release date for Season 5 of the animated series. Since its debut, the show has gained a dedicated fan base, drawn to its unique blend of humor, action, and the unpredictable nature of the iconic character, Harley Quinn.
In this article, we explore the latest updates on the release date and offer insights into what fans can expect from the upcoming season.
Harley Quinn Season 5 Release Date
The release date of Harley Quinn Season 5 is unknown. Based on previous seasons, we anticipate Harley Quinn season 5 to be released in late July or August 2024 at the earliest.
Season 3 debuted on July 28, 2022, and Season 4 debuted on July 27, 2023. You’d think season 5 would choose July as well. However, we must factor in any delays caused by the 2023 Writers and Actors Strike.
Deals for new seasons of television were unable to be reached during the strikes; therefore, Season 5 may have begun a little later than it would have otherwise.
The good news is that season 4 ended on September 14, 2023, which means that season 5 will be announced in November. We assume this indicates any delay would be modest.
Who Will Be in the Cast of Harley Quinn Season 5?
Season 5 will almost definitely see the return of Kaoco as Harley, Lake Bell as Ivy, Alan Tudyk as The Joker and Clayface, and Ron Funches as King Shark. There should also be plenty of guest stars.
Here’s the list of expected cast members in Harley Quinn season 5:
- Kaley Cuoco as Harley Quinn
- Lake Bell as Poison Ivy
- Alan Tudyk as The Joker and Clayface
- Ron Funches as King Shark
- JB Smoove as Frank the Plant
- Jacob Tremblay as Robin
- Harvey Guillén as Nightwing
- Briana Cuoco as Batgirl
What Will Happen in Harley Quinn Season 5?
Based on the season 4 finale, we may expect Harley Quinn season 5 to focus on the Gotham City Sirens and Nightwing’s Lazarus Pit revival.
That Margot Robbie Gotham City Sirens film she pitched may never have been made, but we are getting this vicious, ethically ambiguous squad on screen.
If you’re unfamiliar, Gotham City Sirens was a fantastic comic that had Catwoman, Ivy, and Harley collaborating—albeit highly dysfunctionally.
If you’re rushing out the door to get it, that’s fine, but we don’t think it’ll be an accurate adaptation. In the comics, Harley is still smitten with the Joker, and the canon differs from the TV show.
The team’s broad strokes are present, however, with the addition of Barbara Gordon—now more Oracle than Batgirl—to the mix.

Catwoman returned to the team in the season 4 finale to inform the women that Nightwing’s grave was empty, which would lead to their first case: the rebirth of Dick Grayson’s Lazarus Pit, courtesy of Talia al Ghul. The pit can bring individuals back but at the expense of making them insane. Good luck, ladies.
